I am a faithful listener of NPR’s comedic current events game show, “Wait, Wait … Don’t Tell Me.” So it was frustrating when, in 2011, the show came to Nashville for a taping — during one of the weeks that I was in camp at Mountain T.O.P. Adults In Ministry doing programming for kids from remote mountain communities.
Well, I discovered yesterday that the very funny Mo Rocca, who is a frequent “Wait, Wait” panelist as well as a former “Daily Show” correspondent and host of various Cooking Channel shows, including the current “My Grandmother’s Ravioli,” was right here in Shelbyville at some point in recent weeks taping a segment for CBS Sunday Morning, for which he’s also a correspondent. He was at Musgrave Pencil Company.
All of which led to the following exchange:
