It’s always been funny to me that it often happens that professional communicators sometimes fail at the most basic of communication skills. That happened to us as we were working out the details of the MethoBlog/United Methodist News Service partner site for GC2012, and so I put out some information earlier that was not completely correct. This week we finally got all the players in the room, and so it is with great fanfare that I present:
The site, located at http://gc201conversations.com, will be a hub of blogger activity, as well as the primary place where we will be blogging from the conference. We will also be hosting a live blog from that page as well as a series of podcast reports, so it will be a great place to touch base for everything about General Conference.
As for Twitter, I will be tweeting both from the official @umns account as well as @methoblogger. As you might imagine, the tweets from the former account will be . . . uh . . . more official in nature, while the latter site will be the place for snarky comments. You will want to follow both.
Also keep checking out the GC2012 page here at the MethoBlog as I will be updating all sorts of great content along the way.
I’m leaving in the morning to drive to Tampa. If you are going to be at conference and want to hook up I will be based in the Newsroom. Message me via twitter and let’s chat.
See you in Tampa!
